Vertical Exploration

A side-scroller that supports exploration and has at least three enemies and several unique abilities in three weeks with a group of five individuals. This game was built using Panda 3D/Python in a Cartoonish/Cell-Shaded style.

All team members were experienced game developers, who had already worked on projects the size and duration of Pando and Dead in the Water, but not together directly. I mainly focused on 2D art assets, programming, time line layout, and other assorted tasks, including the eventual recordings and websites. The group got off to a great start, quickly hammering out a concept and a series of deadlines to keep us on schedule. I developed all of the textures and re-tuned the audio. One of the major problems created was the over-compression of the audio and images to work properly in Panda3D.
